Lynn Woods Trail Maintenance Day # 4
Project # LYW072305
Date: 07.23.2005
We (Lynn Woods Maintenance Volunteers) were able to complete 100% of our
fourth trail maintenance project. This work was completed (see pictures
below) on a section of trail leading from the fire road (Ox pasture Road) to
the Water Tower on Bow Ridge.
All the volunteers worked hard today to complete the construction of
elevated rock/stone boardwalk to bridge a section of trail that eroded over
the past years. Both the entrance and exit of this section has been marked
to maintain the current trail line.
Many riders did not like this section of the trail because of the difficulty
to maneuver through and around the large rocks. The elevated boardwalk
resolves this problem and allows for water to drain from the trail without
further destroying the trail.
I want to extend my personal thanks to each individual (listed below) that
helped complete this project. I look forward to see everyone again in future
trail builds and/or maintenance projects.
